Crochet Pot Holder Free Pattern

Crochet Pot Holder

I based this pattern from the book 500 Blocks of Crochet. I love that book which my sister gave me.

So, here's the pattern:

For the front side, I used the Snowflakes design while the back side is just a plain granny square.

I used 2 threads at the same time of Monaco Yarn for this project. It is a lightweight yarn and made of cotton which is suitable for making pot holders. Avoid using acrylic yarn to avoid burning of yarn when it reaches the hottest temperature. I also recommend Redheart Yarn however, it is acrylic made.

Front Side:

Use white yarn.
R1: ch3, join in ch1. Make 15 dc in the ring, join.
R2: ch5, dc, sk1, *(dc, ch2, dc), repeat * 6 times, join in ch3 of ch5.
R3: ss in 1st ch space, ch3, (dc, ch3, 2dc) in same space. *(2dc, ch3, 2dc) in next space, repeat * 6 times, join in ch3.
R4: ss in next stitch and 1st ch space, ch3, (2dc, ch3, 3dc) in same space. *(3dc, ch3, 3dc) in next space, repeat * 6 times, join in ch3.
R5: ss in next 2 stitches and 1st ch space, ch3, (3dc, ch4, 4dc) in same space. *(4dc, ch4, 4dc) in next space, repeat * 6 times, join in ch3. Fasten off.

Change yarn to your choice of color.
..........(this portion is still for update)

Feel free to comment if you have questions or clariffications in the pattern. Thank you for stopping by!

Another Break..

Just took a long rest from blogging...

You know, working 64 hours a week plus a more than 12 hours of travel time costs a lot and not to mention working over time or still working at home. Well, this is life. We need to pursue our career and, of course, earn enough.

Being "busy" as a bee could probably just an excuse, admitting to be a procrastinator. But since I had the necessary stuffs I need (...wants), I have to continue this now. I am not pushing my self to extent, but maybe doing so could be a way to keep my feet on the ground. Because these days (...months actually), I felt I was worthless and unproductive. Maybe just a little touch from my passion will make me feel satisfied and motivated in life.

Feeling exaggerated and dramatic huh? Well, everybody needs a break. And I need one.

So, finally, pledging myself to be active again (at least post once a month). *crossed-finger!*
Also, looking forward for my crochet patterns for free and finally start my business! *wink-wink*
