A Tip on Repairing Damaged Shirt

Many of us experienced having an old damaged shirt. Here's a tip for repairing your damaged shirt.

This is one of my shirts from TopShop. Due to being stuck for a long time in my closet, it was damaged. On the front, it has small holes from the upper left side of the shoulder.

Here's a closer look.

I really liked this shirt so instead of throwing away, I thought of an easy way to repair it.

Good thing I remembered I have a white necklace with blue and white checkered ribbon. It was so elegant for me so I thought of making it simple by removing the ribbon. It was only glued by a glue gun so I used a cutter to cut it. Just make sure that you won't cut the necklace.

Before you sew the ribbon to the shirt, sew first the holes. It is not necessary to sew it perfectly, you only have to make sure that it is strong enough not to loosen the stitch again. You can choose whatever you want to as a cover to the damaged part of your shirt. Patches can be an option.

And there it is! It looks brand new. :)

Crochet Lovers

I dreamed of having a boutique shop since my teenage years. I love fashion and cute stuffs so if I were to own a shop, most of my items were surely made of crochet.

I started to learn crochet when I was 11 years old. Here in the Philippines, Grade 6 students learn cross stitching, crocheting, embroidery, hand sewing and using sewing machines later in the subject Home Economics. I love that subject so much and I always get high grades on exams especially the activities. By the time I learned to do crochet, I get addicted to it to the extent that I even made my dolls cute dresses even though I don't have patterns since internet is not yet known in our country by that time and books cost too much for my age to buy using my own savings. I also made coin purses and cellphone holders for my family and friends.

Doing crochet is easy. Once you learned how to do the basics of crochet, it can be easier for you to create things from it on your own imagination. You just have to be creative enough to make various stuffs in it. You also have to be patient and determined so that you can finish what you have started because it will cost you a lot of time. If you're a busy person, you can try to make it a habit just before bedtime. If you know someone who knows how to do it, then don't be shy asking them to teach you. If you really want to learn via online, you can try searching tutorials from Youtube. One of the best videos on teaching crochet is Crochet Geek. I love the video-maker since she only focused the camera on her hands so that you will clearly see what she's doing. If you want to get some more patterns for your crochet whether you are beginner or expert, I propose you should try to check out this site Crochet Pattern Central which is one of the most amazing site for crochet lovers.

Here are the materials you need in crochet:
  1. Yarn (various colors)
  2. Crochet Hook
  3. Scissor
  4. Crochet Needle

I will post here some photos of my works soon and I will share also how I made it. Thank you for reading and I hope you gained something from me. :)
